Middle Room Activities 18-22 May

I hope everyone is keeping safe and enjoying the sun! :) 
Well done to everyone who sent in their photos last week, its lovely to see all the great activities you have been doing at home. The lighthouse contributions were fantastic- such great creativity! :) 
Below is some suggested work for this week. I have also included the link to instructions and passwords for Splash Maths, in case anyone is having trouble logging in. Feel free to contact me if you are still having difficulty with this and I will help in any way I can :)

CREATIVE CHALLENGE

PE
Remember to take regular movement breaks while working, outdoors if the weather is good, or indoors if not! 
-Do a Joe Wicks, Just Dance, or Go Noodle video
-Go for a walk or cycle
-Play sports or a game outside
-Do some yoga

ART:
Keep up the creativity! You could draw or paint something, create a collage, make something from clay or recycles materials, try some sewing, knitting or weaving, bake salt dough decorations, try some origami...let your imagination run wild! :)

WRITING: Procedural Writing:  Linked with our baking creative challenge this week, write your recipe & method of what you baked for the challenge...if you're not taking part in the challenge, why not make up your own recipe & method...!

Did you...include an interesting title? ..list all of the ingredients and materials needed? ...write your instructions in an order that makes sense?...write in the present tense?...describe what the finished product looks like?

    Offline Activities:

    • Roll 2/3 dice to make a number. Roll again to make another number and add together
    • As above, but with playing cards (add a challenge: how fast can you say the answer!)
    •  Target practice: Draw a dartboard on card, with numbers on different sections of the board. Throw/kick a ball twice/three times and add up the numbers you hit on the board

    -Use a variety of learning spaces: e.g. write at the kitchen table, work on your project on the floor, do some reading outdoors
    -Choose a mix of computer based tasks, book work and worksheets, and games and activities
