Middle Room Activities 25-29 May

I hope everyone is keeping happy and healthy! :) 
Well done to everyone who sent in photos of their work and activities last week, and to those who have been working hard with their splash maths tasks, you are doing such great work! Maith sibh! 
I loved seeing all the tasty treats you have been baking too- they all looked delicious :) 
Below is some suggested work for this week, along with links on how to access online resources, and some links to offline work suggestions. :)

CREATIVE CHALLENGE

Superheroes Art Competition: Details on main blog :) 


PE
Remember to take regular movement breaks while working, outdoors if the weather is good, or indoors if not! 
-Do a Joe Wicks, Just Dance, or Go Noodle video
-Go for a walk or cycle
-Play sports or a game outside
-Do some yoga

ART:
Keep up the creativity! You could draw or paint something, create a collage, make something from clay or recycles materials, try some sewing, knitting or weaving, bake salt dough decorations, try some origami...let your imagination run wild! :)

Spellwell: Week 31 activities, spelling test on Friday

WRITING: My Hero/A Person I Admire
Write a story or report about your hero, or someone you admire. It could be a parent, grandparent, friend, sibling, someone you know, or even a character in a book, or someone famous! 
Include details about what makes them a hero to you- What are they like? What makes them special? Why do you look up to them? What are some of the good things they have said or done?  How have they helped or inspired you? :)
Don't forget, you can write or type your report, and include drawings or decorations if you like :)

    Offline Activities:

    • Roll 2/3 dice to make a number. Roll again to make another number and subtract smaller number from bigger number
    • As above, but with playing cards (add a challenge: how fast can you say the answer!)
    • Target practice: Draw a dartboard on card, with numbers on different sections of the board. Throw/kick a ball twice/three times and subtract the smallr number you hit from the bigger number

    -Make sure to take regular movement breaks. 
    -Try using timers
    -Use a variety of learning spaces: e.g. write at the kitchen table, work on your project on the floor, do some reading outdoors
    -Choose a mix of computer based tasks, book work and worksheets, and games and activities
